You can easily enable developer mode if you are looking forward to it. Developer Mode can be enabled from the Settings app on your Windows 11 PC. To turn on developer mode in Windows 11, follow the steps given below-

Firstly, open the Settings app on your PC. The keyboard shortcut to open the Settings app on your PC is pressing the Windows + I. You can either search for Settings in the Start Menu and open it. 

In the Settings, click on the Privacy & security section/tab from the left sidebar. 

Now on the right side of the Settings, click on For Developers under the Security section.

Here, turn on the toggle for the Developer Mode. When you turn on the toggle for the developer mode, you will get a confirmation prompt asking you to confirm enabling developer mode. Click on Yes to enable developer mode on your PC. 

In case, you want to enable the Device Discovery, then you can enable the toggle for it as well. Enabling device discovery will make your device visible to USB connections and your local network. If you want to enable the Device Portal then enable the toggle for it. This will enable remote diagnostics over local area network connections. When you enable the toggle for the Device Portal, you will be asked to install the Windows Developer Mode package. Click on Yes to install the package. After you are done with it, you will be asked to provide a username for the Device Portal as well as the password for it. 

Turn Off Developer Mode In Windows 11

If you no longer want to use Developer mode and want to turn it off, then you do have the option to disable it. You can anytime disable developer mode whenever you want to. To turn off developer mode, follow the steps given below-

Open the Start Menu by pressing the Windows key. In the Start Menu, search for Settings and open it. Head to the Privacy & security section from the left sidebar in the Settings. Here, click on For Developers option under the Security section on the right side Turn off the toggle for the Developer Mode to disable Developer Mode.

After turning off the toggle for Developer Mode, reboot your PC and the developer mode should be turned off.
